I've actually come to love the MTA despite the fact that it takes an hour and a half to get from downtown to Santa Monica. The only time I didn't like the MTA was my very first time in LA and that was because I was lacking knowledge in basic LA geography so my friend and I ended up getting off of the 720 (the bus that goes down Wilshire) at Santa Monica Blvd because I figured that if we walked down that street we would end up in Santa Monica. Um yea, so we ended up hanging out in Beverly Hills that day instead of going to the beach. How no one kicked me out of their fancy shops when I was wearing a tank top and the shortest pair of shorts I own still amazes me to this day.
