Sante La Brea has hired a vegan chef who makes use of their additional kitchen space and has turned it into a 100% vegan kitchen called Mama Z Cuisine. You can get the traditional Santa Vegan friendly menu & and the Mama Z Cuisine 100% Vegan menu. We tried out the Miso Soup & Yellow Curry from the Mama Z menu tonight. The new chef, George Tigre is a great addition to Sante and brings a real "buzz" to the place. Also, don't miss his walnut Pate.

Chef Tigre is also planning monthly or bi monthly tasting nights.

Wow, mock duck! You don't see that too often on menus in LA. In Minnesota, you can get mock duck at virtually any thai restaurant, vegetarian or not.

The Chef is from Toronto so he may be bringing that Northern bit down with him!
