Breaking news on new Vegan Eating Venues

Re: That's Amore

The Long Beach/Orange County Vegetarian Meetup Group has a post-Valentine's outing planned at That's Amore for Feb. 15. They initially limited the group to 10 RSVPs but after filling up FAST the organizer contacted the restaurant and discovered they could accomodate 25 people. Last I checked the meetup was nearly full. I'm so glad LOTS of vegetarians/vegans will get to try That's Amore, their ovens will be piping hot that day! My husband really, really likes That's Amore so we've chosen to celebrate Valentine's Day there. :D

Guess who just Amore'd it up! We SOOO need this place closer, but I have to admit on a Sunday night (it closes early) the drive isn't bad at all.

The Rosemary Pizza is where its at along with the Canoli! Also, you can order vegan garlic bread, which isn't on the menu, but is pretty dang good, too!

Pics shortly!

If you haven't been to Amore you MUST GO! Its just a great place that completely needs to be in Los Angeles. Aside from the 30 miles bit of getting there from the Westside, the red sauce used on the Lasagna was a little basic and the salad was uninspiring, but the Rosemary Potato Pizza & Canoli made the trip SO worth it! The people there are very nice, too. Its a great little adventure to do with a group.

I bet if you called ahead they'd hold a pizza for you to go if you got there a few minutes after 9pm (7pm on Sunday)

I just went and meeehhhhh..... I am a fan of FYH and the pizza was good even though it was 1/2 filled with toppings and almost all crust. But the alfredo sauce tasted like they used vanilla soy milk! The cannoli was the best part
