It's good to know that there are other late night places in SM besides Swingers. I will keep this in mind for the next time I am hanging out with my friends in SM.

I had a yummy quinoa dish when I was there that had orange juice sprinkled over the top. Pretty good and refreshing at the late hour that we were there. I was pretty stoked at vegan chocolate chip cookies being on the menu too (although I make better cookies.)

I was so glad when my friends took me here. Our previous late night eating experiences in Santa Monica have been sketchy including the time I watched my friend eat some nasty burrito while I didn't eat anything, and the time when I was still vegetarian and we went to Norm's. Not very vegetarian friendly. I ordered a pasta dish that was overcooked, lacking in flavor and pretty much disgusting. I am pretty sure that no one enjoyed their food. Norm's should go out of business. We figured the place must only exist for people who are drunk and don't really care what their food tastes like.

Make sure you specify the vegan reuben, a lot of the waitstaff there isn't very smart and one time my waitress plopped a big hunk of corned beef down in front of me.

I also ordered a non-dairy milkshake and she served it with whipped cream. When I asked if the whipped cream was non-dairy (I was starting to get excited), she just whisked it away and then I saw her scooping the whipped cream off. She then brought the same shake back to me.

For a while the Beverly location had vegan cheesecakes! They still might.

I love the nachos.

haha, yeah the Waffle has a bad vegan rep, they str8 up admitted to serving vegans non vegan items... at 2am you just have to be very precise with the waitress to get what you want. Their fries are so good...

I believe many people mistake their cheese as vegan, when its soy casein cheese, which they'll put on a salad and the reuben. I think they have a morningstar farms bacon which has egg whites in it, too.

Ugh, that is so annoying. I specifically asked if the cheese had casein!

How can they call that vegan? Isn't that false advertising?
