Swingers Santa Monica and West Hollywood

Postby lex on Mon Sep 08, 2008 11:30 pm

Swingers was one of the first vegan places I went to when I came to LA on business 7 years ago. After my associates took me out parting they said they knew a place with the word "vegan" on the menu that was open late. Not expecting much we slid into the Swinger's in Santa Monica. It was loud and awesome. They've toned down the music since those days, but the vegan options are a plenty.

I don't think they've updated their website in 8 years. http://www.swingersdiner.com/ According to Yelp, the Santa Monica one closes at 2am and 3am on the weekends and the Weho location is open until 4am.

I enjoy both locations. Swingers is also great for breakfast. Also, don't miss their vegan desserts.

I remember running into Lindsay Price at Toi on Sunset before I moved here and I was out here on vacation. Bev Niner (Beverly Hills 90210 for those not in the know) had just gotten canceled, but she looked better in person than she ever did on the show. I do remember the food being awful and I've never been back.

yeah definitely a great place to get a huge vegan pizza. i recommend calling ahead and picking up though. the restaurant isnt that nice inside, and they take hours to deliver. calling ahead is the only way for me.

Their Veggie Burger & Sloppy Joe are good, too. They always have 1 vegan dessert as well, but lately its just been a cookie.

forget about it late at night - its a disaster of drunks, and food takes ages to come out.
