For anyone who's ever been to Maoz, no description is needed, its the same, but better. Atmosphere is improved, quality of the salad/topping options is better. You can't beat the prices. There is 30 min free parking around back. I just buy a pita with nothing in it and fill it full of salad. Hummus and Fried Falafel balls are a little too fatty for me, but most of the salad options and the cumin spiced garbonzo beans & cous cous make perfect hearty filler. The place totally reminds me of McDowell's in Coming to America. Muma, I'm glad you are hear, but you shouldn't freak out about the comparison to Maoz. No one holds a patent on the Pita Joint concept. Just roll with it and say, we liked what we saw in Maoz and couldn't believe there wasn't one in Los Angeles so we did the best we could and we think we did better... because you did! My only comment is you should glass off the salad bar and fill people's salads and pita's for them. Even when you wear the plastic glove, when you touch the tongs that your customer's touch that pick up germs and then if your plastic gloves touch food, game over. Maoz incidentally is HORRIBLE for sanitation in most locations.
