Oh wow this is a really great place! The highlight #1. Menu items around $10 each (way cheaper than RFD) #2. Really laid back cafe vibe. You don't have waiters, just counter service, which makes it great for a quick meal. #3. the dessert!!! I'm usually not big on desserts but the Boston Creme Cupcake is WHERE ITS AT! The strawberry tart is fantastic, too! #4. Panini! I really want to try the almond butter marshmallow fluffer panini! #5. There's an upstairs reading room where you can just chill out on some pillows after your meal and veg out! Golden Mean is such a cool corner cafe in a much needed area of Wilshire/Santa Monica! There is a nice long bar to solo dine at and 6 or so tables to grab a bite with friends.
There is decent parking along 11th street. Golden Mean is the SW corner of Wilshire & 11th, its on Wilshire. I can't figure out the exact address, yet. There are meters up and down Wilshire, though. Definitely WAY BETTER parking that RFD!
Now to the good part! PICS! (my camera battery DIED as I was taking pics of the dessert !!! but that just means I'm going back tomorrow for more!)
